The main compartment of the Jaeger (52 x 25 x 17 cm) is quite spacious, which is probably due to its simple shape, allowing a lot of gear to fit into what is essentially a medium-sized backpack. The lid compartment can be raised both front and back using adjustable straps, which, along with the extra fabric collar on the main compartment, allows the backpack to be easily "overpacked." This also allows equipment such as jackets, sleeping pads, blankets, etc., to be secured between the main compartment and the lid compartment. Inside the lid compartment is a zippered pocket for valuables and small items, first aid, etc. (25 x 25 cm).

The toploader backpack has quick access on the right side via a 2-way zipper.

The back panel disappears into a Velcro-sealed compartment. This allows the back panel to be removed. In addition to the back panel, other flat items such as documents, magazines, etc., can also be stored in this compartment.

A hydration bladder fits into its designated compartment and is secured at the top. This compartment can also hold documents, 13-inch laptops, tablets, seat cushions, etc.

For the hydration bladder hose, there is an outlet with an elastic closure on each side. The two opposing outlets can also be used to attach the backpack with a rope to, for example, a load frame.

Two side compression straps on each side ensure good load compression and allow for additional equipment such as an axe, rope, climbing gear, etc., to be attached to the side of the backpack.

There is also a small side pocket with an elastic closure on each side. Water bottles, for example, can be stored in it, and other equipment attached to the compression straps can be further secured.

Both side pockets have a drainage eyelet.
