The stirring spoon is made of local cherry wood and then oiled. Oiling gives cherry wood its characteristic reddish color, which further enhances its distinct grain. This grain is individual for each spoon and may therefore differ from our illustration.

Care tip
Wood is a natural material and can crack under extreme conditions. For this reason, you should not leave the Petromax spoon in water for extended periods, but rather clean it thoroughly with warm water and scouring powder. Afterwards, stand it upright and let it air dry.

To enjoy your Petromax wooden spoon for a long time, please note the following: If the oiling wears off due to use and cleaning, you can rub the spoon with hot, neutral-tasting vegetable oil or paraffin oil (paraffinum (per)liquidum). Let it soak in overnight and wipe off any excess oil. You can repeat this treatment regularly.
