Environmentally Friendly Spork, long version. Made in Finland
The KUPILKA Spork 225 is slightly longer, making it perfect for freeze-dried food in bags.
KUPILKA products are made from a biomaterial. The biomaterial consists of a natural fiber composite, composed of 50% wood fibers and 50% plastic material (polypropylene).
Compared to plastic, the advantages of the natural fiber composite material, in addition to better heat resistance and longer service life, are primarily its solid construction. Another advantage is the ability to further process the material after production, for example by engraving names or company logos with laser technology. Compared to wood, the material does not require maintenance. Furthermore, it does not absorb odors and is moisture-resistant. All KUPILKA products are dishwasher safe.
At the end of their lifecycle, KUPILKA vessels can be shredded and, after reprocessing, re-injection molded and used for the production of new vessels. Thermal recycling is also possible. All KUPILKA packaging and product descriptions are made from recycled cardboard. The leather straps of KUPILKA 5 are made from reindeer leather.
The material was developed by Puugia, Centre for Wood Technology in Joensuu, and is now manufactured in the same region by Plasthill Oy.
